I got involved with the club about 1998 with my daughter Kirsty who has downs syndrome and was 10 years old at that time. 22 years late she still loves her club .We both have met many friends who have supported us through the years. Kirsty enjoys all the activities. Team games of football, uni hockey, dodgeball, football, rounders, cricket and badmington, ten pin bowling, archery, curling, fishing, indoor bowls and boccia. With the support of being able to train with No Limits Kirsty partakes in boccia competitively and had been Scottish champion several times and as a junior gained a silver and a third place at the English championships. NO Limits helps and encourages their members to take part in competitions in various sports. No Limits have taken their members on activity holidays where they have been wall climbing, sailing , canoeing ,orienteering to mention just a few. No Limits gives their membes a chance to socialise going to Zoos, sails on the forth, ten pin bowling events and parties at Halloween and Christmas.
I have been with the club for 24 years and have seen how our club has grown and over the years. Before I retired I was teacher of mathematics and I am currently on the committee as the treasurer my numerical and logical skills have helped me in that position . I also have been coaching the boccia players for the last 18 years with success at many competitions throughout Scotland and at the Special Olympics. I have also helped organise events and weekend breaks to Badaguish which have given our parents and members a well deserved break .
When I have spare time I enjoy playing walking netball, Swimming, fly fishing and looking after grandchildren.
